What are your favorites?

What verses do you think of daily or turn to for faith, strength, guidance, forgiveness, love or hope?

I could list all 31 Proverbs because I read one a day but I have a few verses I try to live by. If you haven't tried reading the Proverb chapter for each day of the month every day, you're missing an easy and quick way to strengthen your wisdom and understanding.

I will be honest I started by taking the lazy way, listening to the daily verse on my iPod. Go to http://www.dailyaudiobible.com/  for daily Proverb MP3s, iTunes, or listen on the site. I started by listening to the verse when I found the time but after a couple of months, I now start my day reading the daily Proverb and listen to the daily Proverb many times throughout my day.

ROMANS 14:8 (New King James Version)

8 For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.

Live the life The Lord has for you.

A New Creation

The Lord has a new life he want's us to have. He wants us to have it now. He wants us the way we are. With this new life all sins will be forgottn and everything old will become new.

Live believing Jesus saved me from my sins.

Salvation

The name "Jesus" actually means "the Lord saves" or "the Lord is a Savior." So, when we say "Jesus" we are actually saying "Savior." The two words are synonyms. Why the name Jesus?

Live his direction and not your own. Have faith that The Lord's way is the only way

Let Him Lead The Way

Christians often struggle in their walk with the Lord, but it should not be so. Have you ever thought, "It's so hard to be a Christian!"? I have. It seems hard because we are either fighting his direction or forcing our own. Being a Christian gets a lot easier when he wins.

10"No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;"

11"For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways."

Live under the protection of God.

Protection

God doesn't want us to live our lives in fear. Over and over the Bible tells us to fear not. Yet with all the terrible things happening in the world, how can we not be afraid? How can we overcome the temptation to fear?
